Kim Kardashian criticised after letting daughter North West, 9, wear full leather face mask

Kim Kardashian and her ex-husband Kanye West have been criticised for their parenting styles after their eldest daughter North West was seen in a full leather mask during Paris Fashion Week.

The nine-year-old, who has made her frustrations at the paparazzi known on several occasions before, was seen with her whole head wrapped in the black leather covering, which matched her sparkling joggers and bedazzled crocs. Was she able to actually see what was ahead of her? We’re unsure!

It was also unclear whether the ensemble was a bid to conceal her identity against the hoards of photographers or she was merely following in the footsteps of her stylish parents by making a fashion statement.

Either way, fans expressed their dislike for the unusual look, with one person tweeting: “This is not cute or fashionable. Emulating Mom and Dad on this one should have been stopped.”

Someone else said: “Let her be a kid…..” while a third wrote: “This makes me so sad, all this child will know is to act out for the paparazzi.”

Both of North’s parents have previously sported a similar look that North could have taken style inspiration from. Mum Kim turned up to the Met Gala in 2021 in an all-black outfit that covered her face. Meanwhile, her dad Kanye wore a full balaclava mask at the Schiaparelli Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2022 show earlier this year.

Meanwhile, it could be noted that North’s outfit is a measure to make the paparazzi leave her alone. Earlier this summer, during another trip to Paris with her mother Kim, North West was left confused by cameras following her every move and asked them: “Why do you have to wait for us all the time?”

One pap replied to her question: “Because you’re so famous, we love you, North!” Disturbing!

While we understand that North looks up to her parents and enjoys travelling the world and living the best life with them, we genuinely hope she has enough time to hang out with her friends – and we’re sure doting mother Kim keeps that balance for her brood of four.

Kim Kardashian has also been doing the rounds during fashion week season and hit the headlines recently after struggling to walk in a straight line in a video that went viral. Basically, the SKIMS founder’s extravagant dress was sooo tight that she could barely walk at the Dolce & Gabbana show during Milan Fashion Week. But at least she looked incredible while attempting it!
