Kim Min-Jae travels to England amid transfer interest from Tottenham and Everton

Fenerbahce centre-back Kim Min-Jae has reportedly flown to England as Tottenham and Everton chase the signature of the South Korea international.

Antonio Conte is looking to put his mark on Tottenham in his first summer transfer window as manager. The January window saw him strengthen impressively, bringing in Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur and fans will be hoping for more of the same this time around.

He has already made his first acquisition since the end of last term, bringing experienced and versatile winger Ivan Perisic in on a free transfer after his Inter Milan deal expired. But it does not look like being the last of their summer business with Conte eager to cement his side in the Premier League top four.

Bolstering the back-line is likely to be high on the list of priorities at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. While Christian Romero arrived and impressed last summer, there was often a make-shift look to the club’s back three last season.

The Argentinian was joined by Eric Dier and Ben Davies more often than not and while the trio did perform impressively on occasion, Conte is likely to desire ready-made stars for his system. Another former Inter Milan player has been linked in the form of Alessandro Bastoni but so has Fenerbahce’s Kim.

The 25-year-old was only brought to the Turkish Super Lig last summer, signing from Chinese side BJ Gouan for just £2.7 million. But he quickly became an ever-present, making 31 top-flight appearances last season, attracting the interest of Tottenham in the process.

It is not just Spurs who he has captured the attention of. Everton are also looking to bolster their defence after surviving the drop. Both sides appear to have progressed discussions too, with Kim travelling to England this week, according to journalist Volkan Demir.
