Kris Jenner Went White-Blonde for a Cameo That’s One Big Marilyn Monroe Reference

Kris Jenner is, to say the very least, mother. Literally, that’s her job — she basically coined the word “momager,” after all. The Kardashian-Jenner matriarch solidified her role as the ultimate mother figure in Meghan Trainor’s new music video, aptly titled “Mother,” and she even went platinum blonde to do it.

Shortly after her eldest child Kourtney Kardashian took the plunge and went blonde, Mama Kris did the same. She makes an extremely glamorous cameo in the poppy music video with an homage to Marilyn Monroe, posing and lip-synching on a pastel pink set in a white satin Cult Gaia column gown with puffed shoulders and opera gloves reminiscent of Monroe’s “Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend” performance. 

In place of her iconic black pixie, Jenner sports a bright, creamy white blonde shade with a similar choppy, shaggy cut, as though Monroe ditched Hollywood and decided to raise a brood of future reality stars and entrepreneurs. Her signature smoky eyes are present and accounted for, however, and paired with a shiny nude lip for a look that’s all Mother, all the time.
