Jake Paul beats former UFC champion Tyron Woodley

KSI’s former trainer and top prospect Viddal Riley has offered to come into Tommy Fury’s camp and prepare him to face Jake Paul.

Riley was a high-level amateur with over 50 fights before making the move to the professional ranks in 2018 due to his impressive social media growth.

And he has offered to help his countryman Fury to prepare for his bout with Paul, whom Riley has a history with due to his involvement in YouTuber boxing.

The Brit cornered AnEsonGib in his professional debut against Paul in January 2020, having coached KSI in his two bouts against Logan Paul.

And after being called out for a fight by Paul, Riley has said that he would be willing to help Fury to prepare for the bout.

“Tommy, we’re both here in the UK,” Riley said in a YouTube video.

“If you want to get some rounds in, get me to emulate Jake or whatever then let’s go.

“You’re the same weight as me, same country, we can make it happen and that would be great.

“I’m not coaching, but I don’t mind jumping in camp to do some rounds with you and offer you that look because I believe that I could.”

Unfortunately, the pair are not actually in the same country, with Fury currently in training camp in Las Vegas to prepare for the bout.

Riley’s coaching career lasted two years, when he trained ‘Gib’ and KSI to a number of successful white collar boxing wins, as well as their respective professional debuts against the Paul brothers Jake and Logan.

KSI defeated Joe Weller while Gib beat ‘MaxPlaysFifa’ on the first YouTuber fight card in 2018, before going on to face Logan Paul and Jay Swingler respectively.

Riley picked up another win as a coach through Gib’s win over Swingler, but KSI could only muster a draw against the American in his second outing.

The boxer was again in the corner when KSI made the switch to the professional ranks, where he pulled off something of an upset to beat Paul at the Staples Center in Los Angeles in 2019.

And he announced he was going to retire from coaching to focus on his own career the following year after cornering ‘Gib’ to a first round stoppage loss against Paul.

He has amassed a record of 4-0 in the professional ranks, and will return to the ring later this year or early in 2022.

Paul has since called Riley out in a YouTube video after announcing his upcoming bout with Fury, saying that he feels he could beat the London native.

“At this point, yeah, I would beat Viddal,” Paul said in response to a fan question.

“That’s the level this has gotten to; it used to be that Viddal was training KSI to come beat us but that guy’s scared.

“I believe I’m better than Viddal, 110 per cent. After I beat Tommy, who knows.

“I have nothing but respect for Viddal, he’s a dope guy. We squashed our beef, I’m not talking s*** I just believe I’m better.”

Fury faces Paul on December 18 in Tampa, Florida, with Amanda Serrano set to fight in the co-main event.
