Chris Pratt may not have long left with the Marvel universe, what with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 coming to conclude the legend of the original Guardians team this May, but his old pal James Gunn might keep him in regular employment by bringing him over to the DC universe with him — an idea that seems to be gaining a surprising amount of traction. Elsewhere, Thor: Love and Thunder receives a communal kicking for the thousandth time. But, first, a word from our new multiversal overlord…

The idea of playing the ultimate, biggest bad in the whole multiverse probably didn’t hurt, but Jonathan Majors has now revealed the reason why he had to say yes to joining the MCU. While speaking to Deadline, the Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania star likened Marvel to “the best drama school in the world,” before adding, “Kevin Feige is the Dean… The directors are the faculty and staff, and the students? Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo, Tilda Swinton, Tom Hiddleston. So many others. Who wouldn’t want to be part of that ensemble?” Well put, sir.

James Gunn has really got the fandoms of both superhero universes talking this week with his assertion that he’ll “probably” find a role for Chris Pratt in the DC franchise one of these days. The idea has since been the topic of intense scrutiny, with the DC community seemingly reaching a consensus on which two characters the Star-Lord star is most suited to play should he really be planning to ditch the MCU for DC after Guardians 3. It’s that time again — time for the MCU crowd to once again drag Thor: Love and Thunder through the mud. Everything from the movie’s laughable CGI to unfortunately unfunny comedy beats has been the subject of scorn in the past, but now folks are blasting Taika Waititi’s film again for wasting Russell Crowe’s Zeus. A deleted scene in which the king of the gods is depicted in a much more nuanced way than he was in the finished cut is getting people frustrated over how close we were to something far better.

Look away, haters, we’re about to talk positively about She-Hulk. Shulkie stans can agree that Patty Guggenheim’s Madisynn King stole every one of the too-few scenes she was in of the superhero sitcom, so there’s a lot of interest from Attorney at Law loyalists for Madisynn to return somehow in the future of the MCU. Well, looking at the evidence, the odds are fortunately pretty positive, especially thanks to the character’s instant favorite friendship with unlikely best pal “Wongers.” You just know these two are going to be the ones to kill Kang in Secret Wars.
