Logitech has also announced a major new software release, which should improve the functionality of its new and existing hardware. Smart Actions is receiving a beta release on the Logi Options + app and should allow users to easily program complex actions and assign them to deploy when prompted. Prompts can be anything from a supported program launching to a particular keystroke or combination of keys.
In a statement about the releases, Anatoliy Polyanker, general manager of MX business at Logitech, says: “Our new Master Series products featuring Smart Actions in the Options+ are designed for anyone seeking precision, speed, and comfort to reach optimal performance and a feeling of enjoyment.”
Smart Actions is incredibly versatile and can be used for everything from efficiently ducking out of Zoom meetings to auto-replying to messages, to ordering pizza. There are several templates on offer that can be used as-is or edited. Users can also create their own Smart Actions right from the start. As the software is in beta, not all of its features are live yet. Improvements are likely to include more options related to sharing and importing useful automations.
