Tom HiddlestonOwen Wilson, Sophia Di Martino, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, and Beta Shift’s finest Eugene Cordero return for more Time Variance Authority shenanigans in the official trailer for Loki season 2, an original Disney+ series.

Set after the events of Loki‘s debut season, the sophomore season of the series will continue to follow Hiddleston’s Loki as he works with the TVA to track down variants stoking chaos in different multiverse timelines. When Loki season 1 ended, the God of Mischief was stuck in a reality he did not recognize after the Multiverse was ravaged by the death of He Who Remains (Jonathan Majors, who has also been confirmed as returning for season 2, despite ongoing abuse allegations).

Per Marvel.com, in this new reality, the God of Mischief, along with Mobius M. Mobius (Wilson), Hunter B-15 (Wunmi Mosaku), and a team of new and returning characters, will have to navigate an ever-expanding and increasingly dangerous Multiverse in search of Sylvie (Di Martino), Judge Renslayer (Mbatha-Raw), Miss Minutes (Tara Strong), and the truth of what it means to possess free will and glorious purpose.

In addition to the returning cast, the Loki season 2 trailer also features the Marvel debut of Ke Huy Quan, best known for his Academy Award-winning role as Waymond in Everything Everywhere All At Once. Quan is playing an undisclosed character, but the new trailer confirms that he works for the TVA’s “Repairs & Advancements” department. Another new cast member is Game of Thrones actor Kate Dickie, who is set to appear as a villain.

Penned by head writer Eric Martin, the series stars Hiddleston, Di Martino, Mbatha-Raw, Mosaku, Strong, Quan, Dickie, Majors, Wilson, Rafael Casal, Liz Carr, and Neil Ellice. Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, Dan Deleeuw, and Kasra Farahani are all confirmed to direct episodes of the series, with Michael Waldron remaining attached to the show as its creator. Hiddleston, Waldron, Benson & Moorhead, Victoria Alonso, Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Kevin R. Wright, Stephen Broussard, and Kevin Feige also return as executive producers for the second season, with Trevor Waterson serving as co-executive producer.

Loki season 2 will be available for streaming on Disney+ beginning on October 6, 2023. Watch the full trailer below:
