Draymond Green is a fan of LSU star Angel Reese — taunting and all.

The Golden State Warriors forward says Reese’s late-game taunt toward Iowa’s Caitlin Clark was just part of competitive basketball. He also called out a “double standard” in sportsmanship expectations between men’s and women’s sports.

“It ain’t so fun when the rabbit got the gun,” Green said this week on The Draymond Green Show, via 247Sports. “Now, the issue that I have is, let’s not have these double standards. I remember very, very, very clearly, Al Horford, in Game 1 of the NBA Finals when (the Boston Celtics) made they come back, and he got an ‘and-1,’ and he’s flexing right in my face. Nobody said a word. … But now Angel does it, and it’s a ‘problem.’

“I’m here to tell y’all it’s not a problem. It is what it is. This is basketball. It’s a very competitive sport, and if I want to throw it in your face after I beat you — you can’t see me — guess what? Ain’t nothing you can do about it. … So let’s stop talking about it. Let’s let it be what it is. Let’s appreciate this display of basketball that these young women just gave us.”

Reese faced a great deal of backlash after her late-game taunt on Clark.

With a double-digit lead in the final minute of the national title game, the LSU forward followed the Iowa star around the court doing John Cena’s “You Can’t See Me” gesture. Clark went viral for making the same gesture earlier in the tournament.

“All year, I was critiqued for who I was,” Reese said in response to the criticism. “I don’t fit the narrative. I don’t fit the box that y’all want me to be in. I’m too hood. I’m too ghetto. Y’all told me that all year. When other people do it, and y’all don’t say nothing. So this is for the girls that look like me. For those that want to speak up for what they believe in. It’s unapologetically you. And that’s what I (did) before tonight. It was bigger than me tonight. And Twitter is going to go into a rage every time.”
