The trailer India Lockdown was dropped by the makers on Thursday, November 17. Directed by Madhur Bhandarkar, the films stars Prateik Babbar, Shweta Basu Prasad, Aahana Kumra and Sai Tamhankar in pivotal roles. The film will make you relive the horror of the Covid-19 lockdown in 2020 in March and the second lockdown later. It will show four parallel stories of people from different occupations and how the situation causes chaos in their lives.

In India Lockdown trailer, Prateik Babbar and Sai Tamhankar play a couple, who are migrant workers and are jobless during the lockdown. They face problems as they have no means of transport to go back to their hometown. They walk and on the way they face lots of hurdles. Shweta Basu Prasad plays the role of a sex worker from Kamathipura and she worries thinking about how she will earn and won’t be able to send money to her mother. Aahana Kumra is in the role of a pilot, who is at home as flights are not operating due to the pandemic. Prakash Belawadi plays a father, who wants to fly to his daughter and his grandchild but can’t go to the lockdown.

Meanwhile, India Lockdown is set to premiere at IFFI Goa on Monday. Produced by Dr. Jayantilal Gada of PEN Studios, Madhur Bhandarkar’s Bhandarkar Entertainment and Pranav Jain’s P J Motions Pictures, it is the first Indian feature film on Covid-19 pandemic. The film written by Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah will stream on ZEE5 on December 2.
