The countdown to the end is nigh as Netflix has officially announced the premiere date for final 10 episodes of the hit sensation, Manifest. After a campaign was launched to save the supernatural mystery from its unjust cancelation at NBC, Netflix acquired the popular title for one final season to offer a fitting conclusion to Flight 828’s preternatural tale. The fourth season was split into two parts, with the first 10 episodes premiering this past November. Thankfully, the anticipatory wait for Manifest’s earth-shattering endgame is almost over. According to the teaser announcement, the second half will premiere on June 2nd, which corresponds to the ominous Death Date that has been looming over the 828ers since the season one finale.

The 50-second teaser video is just a taste of what’s to come as Manifest steamrolls into what could be a cataclysmic finale. “Our story is ending in a way we may not realize,” states Michaela within the clip’s first few seconds. From the beginning, it’s made clear that the end of the world is fast approaching with only the Stone family and their camp privy to the knowledge of Earth’s doomsday. A race against the clock ensues with Ben, Michaela, and their group attempting to thwart the impending apocalypse. But the Death Date isn’t the only threat the 828ers will have to face. Within the first-look, the clip briefly shows the authoritative response towards the 828ers due to the aftermath from the mid-season cliffhanger. In the end, the gang must work quickly to piece together all the signs that have been laid out from the beginning and decipher the remaining Callings from the 828ers as “everything is all connected.”

The official synopsis for Manifest Season 4, Part 2 is below:

In the aftermath of Angelina unleashing a devastating volcanic fissure, the passengers face severe scrutiny in a world fueled by 828er hate, no longer free to solve their own Callings without constant supervision by the unscrupulous 828 Registry. A mysterious accident delivers ominous warnings on a biblical scale that will further jeopardize the livelihood of all the passengers. As Michaela grieves the loss of her beloved husband Zeke, she must team up with her old flame Jared to find new methods to investigate Callings.

Meanwhile, Ben and Saanvi attempt to collaborate with the Registry authorities, which only leads to dire results for the passengers. Miraculously, a mythological event reactivates Cal’s sapphire-laden dragon scar, offering a glimmer of hope for the 828ers to survive the rapidly approaching Death Date. But Angelina’s nefarious sapphire powers continue to wreak havoc, leading to a struggle between good and evil down to their very last day in this most terrifying, suspenseful, and joyous chapter of the Manifest story.

Manifest Will Have A Proper Ending

With the epic conclusion on the horizon for Manifest, audiences will finally get to see how the pieces will come together to help Ben, Michaela, and the rest of the Stone family stop the impending Angelina-created apocalypse. The series showrunner and creator, Jeff Rake, previously mentioned that Manifest was meant to have six seasons before NBC decided to axe the popular supernatural mystery. After getting another lifeline with Netflix due to the show’s popularity on the streamer, Rake was given only more season to wrap up the remaining storylines. Turns out, one season was more than enough to give the series the proper ending it deserves. In an interview with Deadline, Rake explained how they condensed the 3-season story to fit within the given parameters, all while still giving audiences a satisfying and grand conclusion.

“It’s like a happy ending. Twenty episodes turned out to be plenty for us to tell our complete story. I have my story points, my flags in the sand, and I carried them into the new writers’ room. You look at your Zoom board and your flags and … you’ve got 20 episodes! Twenty turned out to be more than enough. We’re telling the same story we were always planning to tell. It’s just a little more concise, a little more packed. Each episode is a little bit more packed with information, which I think is a win for the audience. It just makes each episode more dense with excitement and action and relationship stories and mythology. It’s been incredibly exciting and gratifying. And when I heard that it was two blocks of 10 episodes, that was great news to me because in my mind, that’s effectively two seasons. It allows me to put a big, season-ending cliffhanger right in the middle at the end of [the first] 10, which is exciting for the viewers and fun for us as writers. It was a great victory.”
