Charles Barkley and Michael Jordan haven’t spoken in years.
The two legendary NBA stars were once good friends, though that relationship ended when Barkley criticized Jordan’s ownership of the Charlotte Hornets.
“It’s a really unfortunate situation for me and him,” Barkley told Taylor Rooks. “But I’m going to do my job first and foremost. I can’t criticize other coaches and general managers and give him a pass because he’s my best friend. I just can’t do that. What I said was, ‘Michael’s got to surround himself with better people. And I worry about him being successful.’ When you’re a star – he’s the biggest star I’ve ever been around – everybody around you will tell you what you want to hear. I didn’t think he had a good enough supporting cast around him in the front office to be successful.”
Sunday night, Barkley confirmed that they haven’t spoken in several years.
“He’s got my number,” said Barkley, who is refusing to apologize for what he said.

Fans are saddened by what’s happened between them.
“MJ and Barkley work this thing out…..” one fan wrote.
“If we know anything about Jordan it’s that he’s a forgive and forget guy. Just check his hall of fame speech for proof,” one fan joked.
“Michael Jordan is the LeBron James of crap NBA owners,” another fan wrote.
Hopefully, we’ll see the two legendary NBA figures reconciling at some point.
