Raveen Tandon has been an integral and poignant part of the Indian film industry for over 3 decades and recently, she was honoured for her contribution to cinema by being bestowed with India’s 4th highest civilian award, Padma Shri. Post the honour, the actress got in an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Bubble host Akash Bhatnagar where she opened up on the award and receiving it in the presence of her husband and kids. She reflected on her 32 years journey in films, breaking barriers of an actress’ longevity in this field and doing artsy cinema like Daman, way ahead of its time, much before it became the new norm. She also revealed the reason behind rejecting the iconic song Chaiyya Chaiyya and why she adopted 2 daughters in her 20s before marriage. She also shed light on her humanitarian work and dedicated her Padma Shri to father Ravi Tandon. Raveena opened up on losing him last year and expressed joy on daughter Rasha Thadani now carrying her legacy forward in the industry, just like she did her father’s. However, she also lashed out at people for targeting Bollywood for nepotism and defended the star kids. You can watch the entire conversation here.
