MANILA, Philippines—RJ Abarrientos’ team Ulsan and Ethan Alvano’s Wonju both suffered losses in the Korean Basketball League on Thursday.
Abarrientos and the Ulsan Hyundai Mobis Phoebus fell to the Seoul SK Knights, 92-90, at Jamsil Students’ Gymnasium.
Alvano and Wonju DB Promy also absorbed an 88-78 setback at the hands of Suwon KT Sonicboom at Suwon KT Arena.
The 22-year-old Abarrientos registered 13 points, three rebounds and six assists in the loss. Gauge Prim led Ulsan with 24 points and 16 rebounds. Seoul was anchored by Choi Jun-yong’s 19 points and six rebounds.
Alvano, who has been a consistent contributor for Wonju, struggled with only three points, two rebounds and one assist.
The former Alab Pilipinas guard also committed four of Wonju’s 16 turnovers.
Mobis Phoebus slipped to 8-5 for third place while DB Promy dropped to 6-8 for seventh in the standings.
