AS Roma pulled away in the race for Champions League qualification with victory over Udinese, seeing them go five points clear of fifth-placed Inter Milan in the Serie A.
The hosts were ahead before half-time as Roberto Pereyra was penalised for a handball in the box.
Bryan Cristante stepped up from the spot but struck the post with his penalty before the ball fell to 20-year-old Edoardo Bove, who made no mistake to give his side the lead.
Jose Mourinho’s side added a second just ten minutes into the second-half through Lorenzo Pellegrini after Andrea Belotti led a brilliant counter-attack to pick out the midfielder, who fired home.
Pereyra made it even more of a game to forget as he missed a penalty on the 70th minute, rounding off a poor performance.
