SAG Awards 2022: The nominees are in, including House of Gucci, Squid Game and of course, Succession

The nominations for the 28th Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG Awards 2022) are finally in, and they did not disappoint. 

While we always knew Ted Lasso and Succession would feature heavily in the TV categories (each received five nominations), we didn’t expect to see quite so much Squid Game (four nominations).

As for the film categories, we were more than a little shocked to see House of Gucci receive so many nominations (three, to be exact) – after the film’s mixed critical reception. The Power of The Dog, starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Kirsten Dunst, also led the way with three nominations. 

One of the biggest snubs of the night saw Kristen Stewart go without a nomination for her role as Princess Diana in Spencer? What’s going on? HBO’s Insecure also failed to snap up any nominations – despite the Emmys showering the show with nominations in 2020. 

The awards ceremony will take place in The Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California on Sunday 27 February.
