Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen are synonymous with one another. The pair were the anchor of the Chicago Bulls’ dynasty in the 1990s, winning six NBA championships across two different three-peat runs.

Since the two players have retired, Pippen has, for some reason, soured on Jordan. When asked who the greatest player of all time is, Pippen has said LeBron James on multiple occasions despite playing with Jordan for several seasons.

Pippen took things one step forward with some recent explosive comments.

“I’d seen Michael Jordan play before I came to play with the Bulls. You guys have seen him play. He’s a horrible player,” Pippen said.

“He was horrible to play with. He was all one-on-one, he’s shooting bad shots, and all of a sudden we become a team and we start winning. Everybody forgot who he was.”

Pippen is, at least partially, correct about Jordan being much more of an individual player before the Bulls’ dynasty began.

What he failed to mention is that Jordan’s me-first approach was often out of necessity, as the Bulls didn’t have great teams to put around him for the first part of his career.

Once again, Pippen brought up LeBron James, stating that he would be the greatest statistical player of all time when he retires.

“There’s no comparison to him. None,” Pippen said. “Does that make him the greatest player to ever play the game? I’ll leave that out for debate.”
