Viz Media has announced a strong Ito-Verse presence for San Diego Comic-Con weekend, including multiple appearances by Ito himself.
Junji Ito will be hosting a Q&A on Thursday, 7/20 at the San Diego Public Library, kicking off a huge weekend for fans of the legendary horror author. On Friday, 7/21, Junji Ito will be hosting a Welcome to the Ito-Verse panel at SDCC itself.
It’s all promotion for a new exhibit, which will be open from Thursday, 7/20 – Sunday, 7/23. The Welcome to the Ito-Verse exhibit will be open to the public at the Marriot Marquis and is the largest exhibition of his work that Junji Ito has ever done in North America.
Viz will also have a booth, #2813, located next to the Star Wars and Dark Horse booths. They’ll have a number of exciting exclusives, including a Junji Ito “Gyo” tapestry and an exclusive print.
VIZ Media Sets Panel Schedule at SDCC 2023
WHO: VIZ Media is proud to host two panels featuring manga horror icon and four-time Eisner Award winner, Junji Ito! VIZ Media is proud to co-sponsor these two panels alongside hosting Junji Ito’s largest North American exhibit. The exhibit features over 100 pieces of art! Also releasing this July is a new collection of ten tales celebrating Ito’s favorite antihero, Soichi!
