Snoop Dogg won an impromptu match at WrestleMania 39 in a chaotic few minutes with some unplanned twists and turns.

The hip hop legend looked set to repeat last night’s stunt of putting his co-host The Miz into a match, and he brought Shane McMahon back into the WWE fold as his surprise opponent.

Shane O’Mac hadn’t been seen since been axed by his own dad Vince McMahon following the heavily criticised 2022 Royal Rumble, and the crown loved seeing him back.

Unfortunately, he suffered a knee injury and dropped to the mat moments into the match, and it was clear something had gone wrong.

There was some quick thinking though, with Snoop getting in and showing some great improvisation skills as he knocked out Miz and trash talked him.

He took things a step further, hitting Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s signature People’s Elbow on the A-Lister for a three count, winning his first ever WWE match.

Fans heaped praise on Snoop for being able to adapt and get things back on track, with plenty of people hailing him as the saviour.

‘Snoop saved the moment. That’s the consummate entertainer,’ wrote one fan, while the official WWE BT Sport Twitter account added: ‘Snoop hitting the People’s Elbow was not on our bingo card’

A second viewer said: ‘I did not have Snoop Dogg saving a wrestling segment between Miz/Shane McMahon with a People’s Elbow in my bingo card but here we are.’

Others felt bad for Shane after seeing his surprise return end in such a painful and disappointing way.

Another person wrote: ‘That’s f***ing rough for Shane, hopefully he’s okay but Snoop really saved this segment. He definitely deserves that HOF spot he has.’
