In the recent Amazon Prime Video series Dahaad, Sonakshi Sinha has delivered a captivating performance in a power-packed role. Portraying a police officer, she took on the challenging task of tracking down a notorious serial killer. With her strong and determined character, Sonakshi Sinha brought intensity and grit to the screen, immersing viewers in a thrilling and suspenseful storyline. In a recent interview, the actress spoke about the appreciations she has been receiving since the release of the series.

Talking about the response her series Dahaad received, Sonakshi told Hindustan Times, “It’s been incredible, so overwhelming. People who have not spoken to me in years are messaging me, those I don’t know from the industry have reached out. I was in a restaurant, random people walked up to me- not even for a photograph, but just to say they loved me in Dahaad. I don’t know how to deal with this right now!”

She further added, “I do feel like I have made my debut all over again. The last time I was appreciated like this, it was very long back, for Lootera in 2013, and then Akira. Even Kalank, but not on this level.”

Talking about the appreciation and compliments she received, Sonakshi said, “My dad’s friends have messaged him saying this is my best performance, even his peers from the industry. That’s the best compliment an actor can get. Another one was ‘you became the character completely- that’s huge for an actor.”

On the professional front, Sonakshi was recently seen in Dahaad. Directed by Reema Kagti and Ruchika Oberoi, Dahaad is produced by Excel Media & Entertainment and Tiger Baby Films with Ritesh Sidhwani, Zoya Akhtar, Farhan Akhtar, and Reema Kagti as executive producers. The 8 episodic show features Sonakshi Sinha, Vijay Varma, Gulshan Devaiah and Sohum Shah in lead roles. Dahaad is streaming now exclusively on Prime Video. She will be next seen Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heera Mandi.
