Stop me if you’ve heard this before: A prediction from Stephen A. Smith has aged like milk.

Before the NBA season started. Smith predicted that the Brooklyn Nets would go to the NBA Finals, Kyrie Irving would be a leading candidate for MVP, and Ben Simmons would play at an all-star level.

None of these things have come close to happening. The Nets are 40-35, which is good for sixth place in the Eastern Conference while they traded Irving just before the trade deadline.

Simmons also only averaged six points, six rebounds, and six assists per game before he was effectively shut down for the season due to another injury.

Sports fans are letting Smith have it right now.

“SAS getting 3 horrifically wrong predictions in one take is solid work,” another tweet read.

Hopefully, Smith learns from this one when he makes his next few NBA predictions.
