As usual, the former BBC Breakfast host invited a chef onto her Packed Lunch show to whip up a tasty treat. However, Steph McGovern was far from impressed with Sunday Bruch star Simon Rimmer’s offering on Friday and was seen running out of the studio retching.

All this week, the Packed Lunch chefs were creating their quick, guilty pleasure meals with Simon the latest to create a dish.

He served up his combo of tinned beans and sausages with sardines and hot sauce.

Steph was given a metal pot with the dish inside and was already pulling a face before she tried it.

Simon commented: “Lunch mates are thinking, ‘Wow, if only I could be that lucky to try.’

“Can we say that with a bit of enthusiasm?”
