Bronny James, the oldest son of LeBron James, is recovering after suffering cardiac arrest during a workout at USC on Monday.

After learning of the scary news, ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith sent prayers and well-wishes to Bronny and the entire James family on Twitter Tuesday morning.

“Good Lord. Just heard about Bronny. Hearing he’s okay. Thank God! Prayers up to @KingJames and the entire family,” Smith tweeted.

Bronny James is heading into his freshman year at USC and is part of the Trojans’ heralded incoming recruiting class.

The five-star guard was at practice Monday when he suffered a medical emergency and had to be rushed to the hospital.

“Yesterday while practicing Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest,” a spokesman for the James family said in a statement Tuesday. “Medical staff was able to treat Bronny and take him to the hospital. He is now in stable condition and no longer in ICU. We ask for respect and privacy for the James family and we will update media when there is more information.

“LeBron and Savannah wish to publicly send their deepest thanks and appreciation to the USC medical and athletic staff for their incredible work and dedication to the safety of their athletes.”
