In your experience, what’s unique about gamers and their perspectives on style, fashion, and fragrances?
Honestly, I initially thought gamers generally didn’t put a lot of thought into their appearance and were more concerned with just staying inside and playing video games. For gamers, personal fashion generally amounted to whatever merchandise their favorite esports team put out. However, now we’re seeing a lot more gamers develop their own sense of styles as there are more brands looking to collaborate with content creators, and that’s really awesome to see.

How has that changed since you first got into gaming?
I think the rising popularity of gaming content creators has had a big influence on their respective audiences’ tastes and interests. I’ve noticed that a lot of creators are starting to put more effort into their appearances and style, which in turn has made more and more people think about their own personal style and fashion sense for the first time.
Do style trends within the gaming community reflect bigger fashion trends, or are there gamer-specific trends that have emerged?
I’m not sure if the gaming community really ever follows any one trend or style. There are gamers who are definitely more fashion forward and wear well-fitted clothing and would generally be accepted as well-dressed by the public and there are those who go live every day wearing the same esports jersey or over-sized comfy tee. I will say that I’ve seen fewer jerseys and more button-ups on content creators at least.

How much does style factor into in-game looks? Do you see a lot of customization of avatars to reflect the player’s personal style?
I think customization is insanely important in modern gaming. Your in-game character is more or less a representation of you and with the popularity of multiplayer games, people want to stand out in their own way. If you think about in-game avatars, where anyone can become someone completely different in the virtual world have been huge. I think being able to accessorize with items you like and showcasing your own individuality with your style is a big reflection on someone’s personal style in games.
Can you talk about what your influences were when you started to develop your own style?
I am still very much in the process of developing my own style, but initially I was an oversized hoodie and basketball shorts everyday kind of guy. After becoming a creator in this space though, I’ve been more conscious of my fashion and appearance and taking notes from a lot of my fellow creator friends and other influencers.

How does your style factor into things when you’re streaming?
I think comfort is more important than style when I’m streaming. I could choose to wear something stylish on stream, but if I am wearing it for up to seven or eight hours, it could get uncomfortable fast especially, if I am gaming. Comfort and looking presentable are both key factors for streaming.
Are you picking specific fits to wear while you’re on camera?
It depends how I’m feeling each day. My wardrobe isn’t super diverse and I often get made fun of for wearing “the same black shirt” every day, but generally speaking, I kind of just pick whatever out of my closet [laughs].
Is there a lot of conversation between you and your fans over style and aesthetics?
My viewers are definitely on the fashion forward side. I’ve noticed that because of their general interest in kpop, they inherently care about style and fashion as well. We often discuss these topics on stream when I am watching videos or reacting to kpop videos.

Do you think about what scent you might wear when you’re picking out a fit?
When I am thinking about scents, it really depends on what type of event I am going to. If it is a casual event with friends, it helps to have a lighter scent like fresh or clean. If it’s a formal evening, it’s important to make a good impression so having woodier and earthy tones is important.

When were you first introduced to wearing fragrances?
I was first introduced to wearing fragrances in high school. I think that’s when teenagers get introduced to deodorant and body sprays. My brother bought me my first bottle of cologne.
What’s your favorite thing about Paco Rabanne’s Phantom Legion Eau de Toilette Collector Edition fragrance?
It isn’t overpowering. I think I’ve tried many colognes where it is too bold, but the Phantom Legion has the perfect balance. I’ve gotten a lot of compliments wearing this. It has vanilla, lavender, citrus and earthy tones. It’s a bold scent that makes me feel confident for a formal or night occasion.

My favorite thing about the Paco Rabanne’s Phantom Legion Eau de Toilette Collector Edition fragrance is that the bottle is a robot with a clean chrome finish. It fits very nicely on my counters, and even shelves as an aesthetic piece. I think the design of the bottle is a great collectable, especially for those being introduced to fragrances.
What do you think the future holds for gaming culture and its interest in fashion and fragrances like Paco Rabanne’s Phantom Legion Eau de Toilette Collector Edition scent and bottle?
I think with the design of the bottle being a little chrome robot, this futuristic fragrance is going to be very popular among gamers. It’s taking gamers’ interests in the right direction away from body sprays that we’re used to. I think as gamers and content creators are becoming more mainstream, it’s important to make a good impression for a formal occasion, and that fragrance choices will be an important component to their style.
