Switzerland make Round of 16 after win, Brazil lose 1-0 to Cameroon

DOHA, 2nd December, 2022 (WAM) — Switzerland came out on top in their match against Serbia with a 3-2 score, securing the last spot in the Round of 16 on Friday.

Meanwhile, Group G’s top team, Brazil, lost 1-0 to Cameroon, after Vincent Aboubakar scored in the 92nd minute, and received a red card after taking off his shirt in celebration (having received a yellow card previously in the game).

Despite its win, Cameroon was disqualified along with Serbia.

Much excitement is going around worldwide as the Round of 16 will see Netherlands pitted against the USA, and Argentina against Australia on Saturday; France against Poland, and England against Senegal on Sunday; Japan against Croatia, and Brazil against South Korea on Monday; with Morocco to play against Spain, and Portugal to face Switzerland on Tuesday, the last day of the Round of 16.
