Taylor Swift and Matt Healy have reportedly broken up just a month after they were first linked as a couple.

“She had fun with him, but it was always casual,” a source tells People. “They are no longer romantically involved.”

Swift, 33, and Healy, 34, were first linked in May after the Grammy-winning pop star broke up with longtime boyfriend Joe Alwyn the month before.

The 1975 frontman was spotted with Swift as her Eras Tour touched down in Nashville and Philadelphia. TMZ reported that the couple “were pretty inseparable when she wasn’t performing,” double dating with her friends and visiting a recording studio together.

“I’ve just never been this happy in my life in all aspects of my life ever,” Swift told the crowd at Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts before playing Question…? from her recently released LP Midnights. “And I just want to thank you for being a part of that. It’s not just a tour, I just sort of feel like my life finally feels like it makes sense. So I thought I’d play this song which brings me a lot of happy memories.”

“Taylor is doing great — her focus right now is her tour. Since Matty is touring too, they won’t be able to see each other at all,” a source told People after TMZ confirmed Swift and Healy were no more. “They have been friends for years and decided to just go back to being friends. Nothing complicated happened. It’s just life.”

Another insider told the publication that the pair “still care for one another” and their busy schedules were to blame for the dalliance fizzling out so fast.

“Taylor and Matty still care for one another but they are in the middle of world tours so are both incredibly busy. They’ve been friends for years and are still friends.”

Healy never spoke about the short-lived romance, but did allude to the burgeoning relationship during his band’s set at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Dundee, Scotland last month.

“Is it all a bit? Is it sincere? Will he ever address it?” he said. “All of these questions and more will be ignored in the next hour. Ladies and gentleman, this is The 1975.”

Meanwhile, a source told Page Six that Swift’s breakup from Alwyn wasn’t “dramatic” and the couple split because “[the relationship] just ran its course.”

Fans had speculated that the pair were done after Swift added The 1, which features the lyric “It would’ve been fun if you would’ve been the one,” to her setlist in Texas.

“This was not the Easter egg I was hoping for this weekend,” a fan shared on TikTok.

Swift began dating The Favourite actor in 2016. A source previously told People that the Anti-Hero singer was “very happy” in the  relationship. “He is her rock. Their relationship is mature and wonderful.”

Just a few weeks back, an insider told People that Alwyn, 32, was looking forward to being on the road with Swift. “Joe will travel with her when he can,” the source said. “They are great together. Joe is super supportive of her career.”
