While the UK has some incredible beaches, the weather isn’t always guaranteed at the British seaside.
Britons looking for sunshine this summer might want to head to southern Europe instead of a staycation.
A gorgeous beach on the southeastern coast of Majorca has been described as one of Europe’s best beaches.
Calo des Moro, one of Spain’s most stunning beaches, is a breathtaking cove backed by steep cliffs.
The beautiful beach has pristine white sand and crystal clear turquoise water, perfect for snorkelling and swimming.
The isolated beach doesn’t have facilities making it the perfect spot for a desert island style escape.
A reviewer wrote on Tripadvisor: “Best beach in Europe in my opinion. This is the beach of all beaches!
“It’s like the beaches in Thailand or Caribbean in Europe. White sand and turquoise water, just the dolphins and turtles missing. If in Majorca you must visit!”
Another reviewer said: “One of the most beautiful beaches I have been to in my life. 100 percent recommended.
“The sea was amazing and the view with the trees on the mountains was an amazing mix.”
Tourists will need to climb down a rocky path from the car park to reach the beach although it’s worth it.
