Despite living in Austin for the last several years, I’ve never truly been a part of the SXSW experience. I’ve been to my share of one-off concerts and film screenings over the years but never the whole event, which is why I’m so excited to be covering the Film & TV portion of SXSW this year! Sure, theCHIVE has been to its share of SXSW events over the years, but I haven’t and I’m writing this portion.
And frankly, it seems like I picked a damn good year to hop in. Starting this Friday, March 10, there’s a bevy of narrative films, documentaries, and TV premieres to choose from, and these are the ones I’m most interested in catching.
Trailers will be provided for the projects that actually have them, though keep in mind that most of these movies and shows literally haven’t been seen by any public audience yet, and footage is very limited (if any public footage exists at all).
