The widow of Tina Turner’s late son, Afida, has revealed her plans to start a family after grieving for her family members.

In an interview with People the 46-year-old said that she wants to conceive a child using her late husband Ronnie Turner’s frozen sperm.

Ronnie who died at 62, had frozen his sperm prior to his death, back in 2022.

“I’m going to have Ronnie’s baby!” she shared, adding that she was hoping to use sperm that he froze for her as a birthday gift.

She then clarified she would go ahead with the plan “If I can. I’m 46. But we’ll see”.

The star admitted her “heart was destroyed” by his loss, as she is also now grieving the death of her mother-in-law, Tina, who died in May 2023.

It was reported that during her interview, which was delivered via a Zoom chat from Egypt, she fought back tears in an emotional admission.

Turner has been living in Egypt for the past the month in the attempt to try to find some form of relief from her overwhelming grief.

Her husband tragically died late last year after battling colon cancer and suffering complications of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease.

Sadly, she suffered another loss this year, when her mother-in-law Tina Turner died at 83-years-old.

Before Ronnie’s death in 2022, he was Tina’s only living biological son – whom she shared with abusive ex-husband Ike Turner.

Tina had also adopted her ex’s children, Michael and Ike Turner Jr., from his previous relationship.

Prior to her marriage to Ike, Tina already had biological son, Craig Raymond Turner, whom she shared with Raymond Hill, a former member of Ike’s band. Craig tragically died in 2015.

Afida reflected on her now broken life since Ronnie’s death, saying the two previously had a “beautiful” life in Encino, California.

In a heart-breaking account she revealed: “It’s a punishment. Morning and night, I’m crying and screaming.”

She said she couldn’t bare the thought of living in Los Angeles without her husband so just got up and left.

Afida added: “My life in Los Angeles became a nightmare — a real nightmare. That’s why I got the f*** out of there. No house, no furniture. Just my memories and Ronnie’s clothes.”

Since the death of Tina, she mentioned how it had become incredibly difficult to manage her grief. Within just six months, she then had to grieve again.
