Chelsea’s co-owner Todd Boehly described the 2-2 draw with Everton as a ‘s*** f***ing game’ as he left Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening.

Graham Potter’s side took the lead early in the second half through Joao Felix but Abdoulaye Doucoure pulled Everton level. Kai Havertz put Chelsea ahead again from the penalty spot with 14 minutes remaining but Potter’s men were unable to hold out for the win as Ellis Simms scored his first senior goal for Everton in the 89th minute.

The draw leaves Chelsea 10th in the Premier League and they remain 11 points behind fourth-placed Tottenham, who also conceded a late goal to draw with Southampton on Saturday.

The frustration among Chelsea’s supporters was evidently felt by the club’s hierarchy, judging by Boehly’s reaction outside the stadium.

In a clip uploaded to Twitter, Boehly said to a Chelsea supporter, ‘s*** f***ing game’ as he walked alongside two security staff.

Speaking about the result, Potter said: ‘We’re really disappointed because we’ve dropped two points at home.

‘We wanted to win and you saw the intention of the team. There was a lot of positive things in the performance but ultimately we’ve not defended well enough and to concede two goals, it’s not easy to win the game. That’s the disappointing thing for us.

‘You have to credit Everton, they do what they do well. They use their physicality, they use the set-pieces, they ask you questions.

‘Most of the game we controlled fairly well, as much as you can at his level. But ultimately the first goal is really disappointing as it’s from a set-piece, we spoke about that before the game.

‘The second goal we’ve not attacked well enough and then exposed a big space to defend and haven’t done it well enough.

‘These are the little small things. When you look at how much we put into the game and how much we tried to attack, to be cheap with the goals we conceded was frustrating.’
