Tommy Fury’s girlfriend offered brutal assessment of Jake Paul’s latest win

Paul has drawn Fury’s model girlfriend Molly Mae Hague into their feud over the past year, but the Love Island finalist was completely unimpressed by his KO win over Woodley

Tommy Fury’s girlfriend Molly Mae Hague was left unimpressed by Jake Paul ‘s KO win over Tyron Woodley last month.

Fury was supposed to be in the ring with Paul at the Amalie Arena in Florida, but was forced to pull out from the fight due to a broken rib suffered in training.

And he admitted that it was tough to watch as former UFC welterweight champion Woodley walked out in the spot that should have been his while he was recovering at home.

But he wasn’t the only one who found the opening five rounds of the fight difficult to stomach, with Molly saying that he would have dominated Paul had he been able to fight.

Paul viciously stopped ex-UFC star Woodley in the sixth round of their hastily arranged rematch, but the fight was a drab affair prior to the knockout.

“After seeing that on December 18, my own missus who doesn’t know anything about boxing said ‘my God, this guy couldn’t live with you’,” Fury said during an appearance on The MMA Hour.

“Everybody was texting me that night saying if you were in that ring on Saturday night, you’d have killed this man.

“That man can’t live with me, because if I was there on Saturday night and Jake Paul is standing across the ring from me, and he came out and didn’t throw a punch, do you think I’d just stand there looking at him?

“I’d be straight into him because that’s the kind of man I am, you look at all my fights whether they’ve been good or bad performances, I’ve never not thrown a punch.

“I’ve always been in there trying to win, trying to throw punches and that’s something about Jake Paul I do believe he’s afraid of getting hit.”

And Fury believes that he would have taken advantage of Paul’s lulls in a way that Woodley couldn’t had he been the one across from the American.

Paul has yet to face a boxer with a winning record, which Fury believes he must do to find legitimacy within the sport.

“Me? I don’t care,” Fury continued. “I’d be into him because if he comes out against me and doesn’t throw any shots he knows that I’ll be straight into him.

“He knows that fighting me is not an easy fight, but at the end of the day if he wants to prove his worthiness in the sport of boxing he’s going to have to take the fight.

“He can’t keep fighting MMA people when he’s meant to be a boxer, that’s just the way it is.”

Paul and Fury’s deeply personal rivalry stems back to March, and at multiple times Molly, whom he met during Love Island, has been drawn into their war of words.

The YouTube star published an alleged screenshot of her sending him a DM in 2018, which she insists is photoshopped, and has referred to her as a “catfish”.

And she wasn’t the only girlfriend drawn into the rivalry; broadcaster BT Sport were forced to apologise for comments made about Paul’s other half Julia Rose by Fury’s father John during a press conference for their doomed bout.
