UFC great Tito Ortiz says split from porn queen Jenna Jameson a ‘blessing’

UFC legend Tito Ortiz is revealing that his divorce from porn queen Jenna Jameson turned out to be a “blessing in disguise.”

The slugger and the star of more than 200 adult videos began dating in 2006. Seven years and two children later, the pair called it quits.

Ortiz was granted full custody of their twin boys, Jesse and Journey, and is now married to former UFC ring girl Amber Nichole Miller.

“(The) twins’ mom walked away. It’s been nine years now. I have no problem with that now because it’s a blessing in disguise,” Ortiz told the U.K. Sun. “My now-wife has filled the shoes of their mother, she’s done an amazing job.”

As a kid growing up rough, Ortiz said it wasn’t MMA that saved him — it was fishing.

“Fishing saved my life when I was a young man,” he told the tabloid. “I got to go away and fish. You’ve always got to watch over your shoulder being in a gang. I’ve chased the American Dream which is hard but it’s worth it. My biggest achievement is seeing the smile on my kids, knowing they love me.”

He added: “That’s the best thing in the world, there’s nothing like it. Smile on their faces knowing that there’s not going to be the hard times. There’s hard times such as chores and their homework in the house, but that’s life.”

And he admitted he’s a strict parent for the two boys and their 19-year-old brother, Jacob, from his first marriage.

“As relationship and having girlfriend and fighting in front of them is not going to happen, they don’t know what that is. I’m making them as men,” Ortiz said. “It’s a different world now compared to when I was growing up. My kids, I can’t imagine them seeing the life I saw at a young age, but me becoming a father has changed me.

“I did something my father never did, and that is, I have three smart boys, Jacob is 19, he’s in Arizona University. Then there’s my two twins, A students. I’m making them educated and that’s important to me. Me growing up, I never had that father figure growing up, so it was hard,” he told the U.K. Sun.

“I had to watch movies and stuff to feel and experience what it was like, it was hard. Now I am able to do right with my kids – no cellphones for my boys, the elder one does have one but the two young ones don’t.

“They never had iPads, they get attached to cellphones and their friends do have phones. If they have phones and iPads they don’t want to talk and have a conversation.”

Ortiz packed in fighting in 2019 and has since taken up boxing. His first effort saw him KO’d by Anderson Silva, 46.

He said: “One punch changes it, whereas in mixed martial arts you try to close the gap and try to punch, punch, punch, but it’s not the same as boxing. Boxing is the sweet science, you’ve got to take your time and it really takes time to be a great boxer, that’s why it’s called the sweet science.

“And Anderson was the better guy. I’ve got to lick my wounds and get back on my horse again, right?”
