The Warriors got blown out by the Lakers in Game 3, leaving the Lakers with the 2-1 series lead.
Payton had 8 points on 57 percent shooting from the field and three rebounds in the defeat to the Lakers. Looney was a rebounding machine in Game 1, putting together an impressive 23 rebounds. But since then, Looney had just 12 in the past two games.
It’ll be interesting to see how the adjustment changes things. But it’s smart for Warriors head coach Steve Kerr to switch things around after the Game 3 defeat at Crypto Arena.
