If the version is running on your device, you can edit/ modify a message within a stipulated time using either the app or the web interface. WhatsApp offers a window of up to 15 minutes to modify messages in your chats and groups. Additionally, users can edit messages multiple times within this time frame.

iOS users can expect this feature to be extended to them in the near future as WhatsApp is actively working on its release. As the feature continues to be refined and tested, it is expected to become available to all WhatsApp users across various platforms, ensuring a more flexible and convenient messaging experience for millions of individuals worldwide.

How to edit sent messages on WhatsApp on Android

When users select the editing option, a new window will appear, allowing them to modify the message. Here’s how:

• Open the WhatsApp chat where you want to edit a message.
• Tap and hold the message you want to edit.
• Select the “Edit” option from the menu.
• Make the changes you want and tap the send button.
• Once done, the edited message will be shown in the conversation.
