CSK registered a dominant victory over fellow Southern outfit Sunrisers Hyderabad on Friday. MS Dhoni’s bowlers restricted SRH to just 134/7 and then chased it down with 8 balls to spare and won the match by 7 wickets.

The win has taken CSK level on points with table toppers Rajasthan Royals. They sit in the 3rd position only because of an inferior net run rate. And their captain MS Dhoni has played a massive part in the outstanding start.
CSK finished 2nd from bottom last season and amid a tumultuous season, Dhoni took over captaincy from Ravindra Jadeja. This season, the veteran has been leading them from the start, which has yielded much better results.

And former KKR and England captain Eoin Morgan heaped praises on the composed 41-year-old and says Dhoni’s calm attitude is the biggest driving force behind CSK’s success. And the franchise will be feeling his absence when the player decides to hang his boots.

“You can see how animated he is during the game, just after the game, he’s propelling all the information that he’s taken over the years. It’s great to see,” Morgan said on JioCinema.
“It’s great to see these guys, they are very grateful for him as a leader, but you’ll only realize how much he’s missed when he goes. That’s going to be the effect. His impact of leading key players in the side who are key performers for the CSK at the moment will miss him when he finishes,” he added.

Morgan was also complimentary of CSK treating their home ground like a fortress and the positive leadership that keeps them going.
“The whole lot of the success is based around winning at the home ground, they have it nailed to a tee. You go through the string of names, the spinners, all-rounders, like you said, plug-n-play. At the back of all this are the characters, the personalities, managed brilliantly by MS Dhoni and Stephen Fleming,” the former England captain concluded.

Devon Conway has put his name in the Orange Cap race with another sensational knock on Friday. Conway is now 4th in the Orange Cap race and Robin Uthappa has been impressed by the Kiwi batter.
“He’s an absolute team man, great guy, he’ll do anything for his team. He just picked the right guys, and he’s gone there and delivered. He will get better and better. You know he’ll keep scoring runs,” Uthappa said.
CSK will be taking on Kolkata Knight Riders in their next match on Sunday (April 23).
