The southpaw switched his allegiance to Zimbabwe from England and backed that up with a superb century, becoming one of the handfuls of players to score Test centuries with two different countries.
But Ballance is not taking any part in the 2nd Test in Bulawayo due to illness. The star batter is ruled out of the Test match due to a migraine headache. A Zimbabwe cricket spokesperson has revealed Ballance was feeling unwell for several days due to the migraine issue and hasn’t recovered from that.

Ballance, born in Harare, migrated to England and has scored four Test centuries for them. He switched allegiances recently and made a resounding start with Zimbabwe in his first match. Ballance’s valiant hundred in the first innings coupled with some help from the weather helped the hosts to grind out a draw in the first Test.
The visitors West Indies had the upper hand though in the first encounter, and would be aiming to get a positive result with Gary Ballance out of the equation.
