Since the PS5 actually only has 667GB of usable space, you’re more than doubling your total storage by installing the 1TB 980 Pro.

The Samsung 980 Pro is an excellent SSD for the PS5. The process for installing an NVMe SSD in the PS5 only takes a few minutes. Though the version with the heatsink makes this process even easier, it’s quite simple to add a heatsink to the SSD. If you go this route, you’ll wind up saving around $15. Adding 1TB of additional storage to your PS5 for around $85 is a steal.
